Your Guide to Okemo

Upper Mountain Road becomes plain old Mountain Road once it joins with Easy Rider. It doesn't have the lookouts of the upper section, but it continues to be tree-lined and quiet until you hit the last flat section. There you'll find the Jackson Gore intersection (aka Malfunction Junction) which can be challenging to navigate on busy days.

Past the intersection is a turn and then you'll pass by the only exclusively ski-in/ski-out accommodations on the mountain. The abandoned house at 1300 Mountain Road has been on and off the market for a while and it's not cheap. Should you choose to purchase it, you'll be guaranteed first tracks every morning but you'll have to ski in everything you need for your stay; there's no vehicle access until the snow melts off Mountain Road, despite multiple lawsuits to obtain it.
