Trail of the Day

Solitude

🟦 Sidewinder

if you're looking for a long, wide cruiser, Sidewinder is your best bet on Solitude. It's your first pull-off when coming down Mountain Road. It will immediately take your breath away with amazing views for miles.

It's gentle at first, but soon transitions to a decent steep section which of course can get icy, particularly in the afternoon. Some people have nicknamed it "Slidewinder", "The Bowling Alley" or even "The Crying Run" in acknowledgement of the number of crying kids (and adults?) found skidding down it.

Exits are Upper Moonshadow to the left and Side Out to the right. Continuing on will land you at the Solitude Express Quad base or you can continue on to Jackson Gore via Jack-a-Lope.
