It's a little hard to define where the Solitude area starts. It's below parts of the Main Face and south of Jackson Gore, but its many of its 21 trails connect with or are sandwiched between the other areas.
Solitude is another of Okemo's mini-mountains, served primarily by the Solitude Express Quad. It mostly has blues and greens, with two generous blacks and a couple short glades.
It's still a great place to hang out and enjoy, especially to get away from of the crowds of the other areas.
There's no parking or drop off at Solitude. Unofficially, people often unload on Okemo Ridge road at the base of the Morning Star Triple
The Solitude Day Lodge has restrooms (downstairs, of course) and a small to-go counter for food. There's also the 43 North restaurant if you'd like to warm up during a sit-down lunch.
Solitude started as simply a lift area in 1987. In 1995 the Morning Star Triple was added. Today, there's a lodge with a pool and fitness center for owners and guests of the condos and enormous homes below.
