DJ DaveLet's imagine that Okemo's lift system is a network of roads. In that world, Sunburst Six would be the 10 lane interstate. It's the fastest and most popular way to get to the main summit and the lines can get up to 30 minutes on busy days. On most weekend mornings, DJ Dave will be spinning tunes to make the lines seem a bit shorter.

Sunburst Six opened in 2014 as the first high-speed detachable lift at Okemo with a bubble. Its' heated seats theoretically add additional comfort on the way up, but they only seem to get truly warm on warmer days. You can see the blue battery box on the bottom of the chairs. Regardless, the padded seats and bubble make for a comfortable ride, especially on those colder days.

The lines load from both sides and sometimes you'll find that the lines are shorter on the left side, closer to World Cup. There's also a singles line, but that too can long and you may be better off finding five new friends in the main lines.

The lower half of the lift runs between Lower Chief and Lower World Cup. This half also follows a creek which can be quite pretty when the water flows through the ice.

Heart Tree

After crossing Chute, Sunburst runs over Fast Track, an ungroomed trail between Upper Chief and Nor'easter

On the right side of the lift across from tower 15 is a the "heart tree", a tree with branches that curl together forming a heart.

The bubble unfortunately can also act as a sail. On windy days, the lift may be put on wind hold. When that happens, the slower and colder route to the summit is Sachem to Glades Peak.
