Glades Peak Quad may be the most hard-core of all Okemo's lifts. It doesn't follow any rules. It loads on the left. The seats are hard and tattered. The ride can be very windy. It's one of the slowest lifts. As a fixed grip lift, it whips around the loading area quickly. You better be ready to hang on.

Yet, Glades Peak will get you most anywhere you want to go. You can go to the Main Face, South Face or Jackson Gore. You can turn around and ski down Upper Fall Line or commute on Buckhorn to Triplesec or Challenger, rocky black diamonds.

When Sunburst Six is on maintenance or wind hold, Glades Peak is the only way up to the Main Face summit. If you're all the way down a the Clock Tower base, you're looking at 25 minutes of ride time between Sachem and Glades Peak, but at least you won't be waiting in line.
