Quantum Six is the main high-speed lift in Jackson Gore area. It's accessed via a short jaunt down Expresso from the Coleman Brook Express or one of the routes down from the Jackson Gore Summit.

The chair seat is a bit higher than other lifts, so little ones may have more trouble getting on. Luckily the lift operators are often there to help them up.

When the line gets long, it will be redirected around the lift platform which requires people to do three 90 degree turns in 6-foot skis. It's not always pretty.

The lines can get long on weekends and there isn't always an employee there to ensure groups are alternating, so please self-alternate.

Just after you get on the lift, enjoy a free back massage as the chair bumps over a set of rollers.

The lift runs entirely over Quantum Leap, the most direct trail down from the summit. About 3/4 of the way up you'll pass over a large headwall which can get icy and claims many confident skiers and riders.

Dick Preston

Nestled on the right side of the trail near the top is a den where where a bear has been known to hibernate and occasionally come out for a stretch during winter.

At the top, you'll often be greeted by employee Dick Preston who will probably give you a "How we doin'?". Be sure to say hello and thanks.

Your options from the summit are to go right to Tuckered Out, Big Bang or Black Hole. Underneath the top of the lift is the rocky top of Quantum Leap which is very rarely open. Usually you'll connect with it via Vortex. Going left will take you on Sunset Strip which delivers you to the Jackson Gore junction (aka Malfunction Junction) and the Main Face. Otherwise, pull left off Sunset Strip onto Upper Limelight and other advanced and intermediate trails back down to Quantum Six.
